The Cindy & Larisa Show had the pleasure of having Jennifer Magli on with us. Jennifer owns a window cleaning business called Fish Window Cleaning. Fish Window Cleaning's services are locally owned & operated. They service both commercial and residential, offer a free estimate, and they are licensed, bonded, and insured, and satisfaction is always guaranteed. Jennifer also told us about the upcoming event she is participating in called The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc. This is an all women's race through Sahara desert in the Southern part of Morocco and was first created in 1990. 300 women participate in the event with either ATV, motorbike, or Baja style off road vehicles. The only requirement is determination. The women who take part in this rally are known as Gazelles. They are of all ages, social backgrounds, nationalities and levels of off-road experience. The Rallye is completely off-road; its course is redesigned every year. The Gazelles have to reach the predefined checkpoints along their course in the least number of kilometres, rather than in the least amount of time. They have the choice of driving around a mountain or crossing over it, driving through the dunes or avoiding them. Every day they receive a "Road Book" for the day’s course. This document contains only the geographic coordinates, headings and distances of the day’s checkpoints and finish line. Using a compass, a navigational plotter and maps, they plot their route and plan their itinerary. An average day of competition is 10 to 13 hours long.
