1. The most efficient way to get Vit D is to lay with your bare skin in the early sun (approx 15-20 minutes daily, it’s important to not burn).
2. Test your Vit D levels regularly because genetics have a big impact on your Vit D levels and how you respond to supplements as well as sunlight. If you supplement with Vit D, please work with a functional medicine doctor to make sure the dosage is right.
3. Supplement with Vitamin D, depending on your levels you will need to add in 1000-5000 IUs a day. Remember it’s extremely important to know how your body is absorbing vitamins and nutrients.
